What is it?
Take Heart is a Cardiac Rehabilitation program that provides support and recovery if you have experienced or are at risk of a cardiac event, or are having or have had cardiac surgery. It is a 12-week program involving both education and exercise where you will have the opportunity to engage with others sharing a similar condition and experiences. You will learn about your condition, the importance of medication and safe and effective ways to exercise for cardiac health.
Who runs the program?
Take Heart is led by a Registered Nurse specialising in Cardiology and an experienced exercise professional.
How often does it run?
Take Heart sessions are held twice a week on a Monday and Friday for 12 weeks.
Where is it available?
The program is held at the Esperance Business Centre Arcade.
Accessing the program
Access to Take Heart is by GP referral only. Referral forms can be found under the "For GPs" tab on this website.
There is no cost to attend Take Heart.
